The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 整複雜了！感覺看了個寂寞 全是導演在自嗨了 自圓其說 對辛芷蕾算是粉轉路了（「長江圖」驚為天人）現在整個用力過猛（雖說野心寫臉上也不是什麼壞事）藥不然這個角色完全沒啥看點無演技 純耍帥 挺煩的 全片惟一能看的就是葛大爺的戲了吧
剧情发展就是解开一个答案火速前往下一答案的“解密综艺”。其间的逻辑漏洞和人物动机漏洞多如蜂窝，基本上全都立不住。
电影以古董为由沉冤昭雪的背景设定还行，但循线索迹的剧情推进却展现得些过于儿戏，人物和剧情的代入感都不强。为了权力和地位不择手段，所以才会有人宁死也不愿述出真相，一代又一代守护的是国宝，也是家族与亲情的秘密。
主创想做局中局，结果聪明反被聪明误，不伦不类，漏洞百出。
没看过原著小说，但是感觉电影拍的还不错。既有古董行的传奇故事，又有局中局的悬疑，整体来讲很吸引人。美中不足就是某些情节在配乐细节上的不够，导致对情绪和情境的渲染不够。看到开元通宝的时候，想起我在报国寺卖铜钱的那些时光，还有在报国寺和潘家园看到的那些假古董，挺有意思的一段经历。
古有薛怀义为争宠武则天火烧明堂，今有五脉传人许愿雪卖国耻追回佛头，在权力面前，谁爱国，谁卖国，真的都局中局，错中错。
要是没看过电视剧真是有点难以跟上他们的节奏，啥也没交代清楚就演完了…演完了…我还挺喜欢三个主角的，三个人各演各的也是难得。现在才知道电视剧讲的还真挺不错的…..
舍了太多支线导致故事线络和人物情感不甚清晰，总得来说这个故事拍电影节奏起起伏伏还是不合适，还是太平了。
不得不承认，这是我看过的最“精神错乱”的电影。
还不错，坚持看完了。没有代入感，总出戏，演员太熟了。
ps个人觉得大头比夏雨演的好多了。我心目中有两个被高估的男演员（因为比较多看悬疑探秘题材所以只熟悉这俩），第一是职业滑板运动员骨灰魔术玩家业余演员夏雨，第二是高级文化人书画半专业业余演员潘粤明。。两个都是只会面无表情，这次现哥哥也给我这种感觉。

看过剧集版再看这部电影，普通浓缩版吧，并无新意。
3.5星，剧情通过解谜模式层层推进，又有搞笑片段加持，使观影效果还是不错的。可惜，导演在部分剧情上还是没有做减法，例如付贵这个人物去世时的ost等等。
都是常规化套路，剧情别跟小说比，现在能尊照原著的改编都是稀缺物种，特效是真下了功夫，相当震撼酷炫。也确实看出了辛芷蕾版《鬼吹灯》，葛大爷这回也不会挨骂。6
优酷视频。1失去爸爸的那一刻，他又成为了那个无助的小男孩。2两人分头古董捡漏，《全职猎人》啊～3雷佳音被打，好解气哦。李现捡漏，也不是善茬哈哈哈。4好生养，没看上。5爸，爸，爸！6一个亿，一家人。7割麦子，护我奶，风紧扯呼。8送出去个假的，别人当真的了。别人又把假的送回，原来里面才是真的。这不就是戴着眼镜找眼镜吗？
鉴宝，从古董上查线索，棋局的具象化展示，都很不错，值得肯定
马伯庸的这个故事拍成电影是合适的，解谜是件好玩儿的事儿，不是画张藏宝图那么简单，摩斯密码、棋局、十二地支都用上，然后告诉你这都是骗局，谜底全在一句话，就怕敌人抢先读到这句，到头来功亏一篑，人物动机值得商榷，很多疑问需要解决。
节奏太奇怪了，李现还是需要配音的。。。台词实在太差。。。
形式感太过，剧情太标准，像是按照磨具刻的仿品，没有灵魂，大赝。
