The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 这部电影所传递出的积极意义在当前环境下显得尤为可贵和重要。性别特性的差异不应被贬低和歧视，尊重Ta们心中真正的自己，那是Ta们独特的色彩。勇敢追逐自己的身份与梦想，活在别人的观念和期望中只会慢慢失去自我。虽然这部电影的歌舞和剧情安排还有瑕疵，但其中在家庭教育、校园人际关系与自我激励认同方面所表达的积极意义已经远远超于剧情本身了。
以为是个正派主角和反派boss斗智斗勇的故事，结果搞最后是个爱情片？如果选择不同配角来完全诠释主角应该会更出彩，搞面部切换真的是拉低了层次，不过也算更好地照顾到了受众面吧
一开始会有点迷糊，后来看进去了就觉得还挺有创意
题材设定有点意思，12小时会夺舍一个人的身体，然后循线索找到开端。大部分逻辑都通，且剪辑也比较顺畅，科幻类型里又一种新颖的套路。就是剧情推进稍有点快，除了主角，其它人物没有立住。三星～
故事是不错的，但是同一个演员演切换，只能镜面反射去证明不同身份，代入感弱了点。

3.5分。之前看了剧情简介和某短评，我也以为本片就是《内在美》的黑色动作版，但看了后发现完全不同。《内在美》里灵魂穿越基本就是主旨，探讨的就是内在外在究竟哪个重要的问题；而本片中，灵魂穿越只是让故事更复杂多元的一个设定。倒是也有相同点：不管外表变成谁，我都只爱你一个嘿嘿。故事其实挺有趣的，最后那场打戏也的确很有John Wick的风采，不过整体来说还是个有点偏平庸的商业片了，本来可以更精彩的。
灵魂脱离就是我们现在的人生，不断的长大，不断地思想变化，最终围绕不忘初心结束。挺好
主演是《犯罪都市》里面的反派，动作戏拍的还不错。
剧情剧情不错，围绕男主十二个小时就会开始一段故事，男主演技妥妥的，极力推荐
这电影应该会被翻拍，有故事又可以让导演炫技。
很一般的影片还是平权、价值观、认同那一套没有新意，对于这种事情在我看来就是“关我屁事”和“关你屁事”的区别。歌也不是朗朗上口，唯一惊艳的一场戏是“艺术品就是我”，如果不是英奥提名了我可能都看不到这部影片。
创意不错，但人物逻辑动线和设定上有点bug
有趣的設定、精彩的動作，甚至還有人人都愛的搞笑拍檔組合，但直到電影結束都還是沒有一個合理的解釋，是很有自信一定會拍續集？
不喜欢结尾人人都开心，就应该让傻逼老师和bully都角落里哭去，还有傻逼老爸🙄
