The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 喜欢女主，女孩子们总是善待所有，包括这个世界上不被接受的人和事。

基本上不过取材于历史真实事件的外壳，电影本身的情节全部都是虚构的，而且还夹带了当下庸俗但「政治正确」的私货，「三义士」是南非黑人解放运动成功后的「由果倒退」的虚名，却被本片编导煞有介事的炮制「神话」，可见电影作为纯粹的宣传工具时的不堪。
