The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will.     铁道灾难片，这种类型的电影在中国挺少见的！特效是上等水平，朱一龙演技挺说得过去的，但是这个父子感情戏尬到抠脚，潜水恐惧症也很生硬，后面雨天徒手攀岩和跳到直升机上都太悬了！演员阵容挺强大的，总之，这种题材的电影还是挺值得鼓励的！

    这部影片剧情紧凑，逻辑顺畅，演技在线，非常值得一看，它让我有再刷一遍的冲动。演员对于情节的处理非常强，在某一段情感爆发时，你会觉得酣畅淋漓，影片内涵众多，不同角度，不同方向都会看出不一样的感觉，会有不一样的看法，值得反复观看。最后想说，中国人永远是自己的英雄。

    没报啥期待，也没啥惊喜。父子下水争吵那段真的挺出戏的，还有女主救小朋友唱山歌那段对主线来说也是废的，有这时间去刻画下群像不好吗？就灾难环节的节奏还有看头，不至于太拉跨。

    没事先查看过落脚点+雨天的free solo，看起来太不可思议了。一路落石头洪翼舟一路顺畅避开石头穿过障碍，主角光环太强了。方案改来改去之间没有团队评估下，光凭一个工程师的数据就可以啦？看起来好儿戏。全片只值两星，但想给最后结尾的铁道兵片段加两星。有个画面是两个铁道兵抬着什么分别走在很细的线上，很震撼！作为一个已经对基建狂魔的中国速度习以为常的普通人，第一次知道原来有些铁路我们是付出了一公里一个铁道兵的代价才修成的。感谢铁道兵们的付出，他们值得被铭记

    整体还不错，就是徒手攀岩看的也太吓人了，而且我的泪点竟然是在那个瘸腿的人站出来支持炸隧道的时候，还有最后男主接女朋友电话那一段

    缺点：部分文戏略尬，父子线和隧道大团队线有点各说各话。老洪掉水里时恰好被洪翼舟救起来，勉强当做是巧合。但最后洪翼舟从洞里直接跳到直升机边，真就有点夸张了，冲淡了电影的真实感。

    幽默风趣，演员出神入化--尤其是安东尼奥班德拉斯，将这样的角色表现出了大写的游刃有余。印象中这也是我看过佩内洛普克鲁兹最佳的表演之一。不过海报像是商业大烂片，值得吐槽。
