The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 一个惨痛背景下温馨的故事。遇到灾难所体现的那种人类互助的温暖。

舞台与影像的结合实属惊艳，舞台戏剧本身的魅力也充分表现，同一演员、同一空间表现出了多样的形式，在疫情后的第一场百老汇演出确实惊艳。但戏剧内容实在平庸，讲来讲去不过是娱乐至死至上的美国价值说教，戏剧演员的格式化表演也无法承受镜头的张力……网上看到一半自觉无聊便退场。
被故事打动，在这个世界日渐隔绝的时候，这样一个基于真实故事展现人性之美的音乐剧真太棒了。不论来自于哪个国家，文化，宗教，这一刻我们都是islander

19年买了票，20年全部演出取消，21年终于看到，大家都是来自远方，也欢迎远方。

视角好好，希望我也在用这样的视角，用人话讲共同记忆。
它在有限的演员身上安放两三个角色，配合简单的道具，从而塑造不同的群像，搭建出丰富的场景，但又并不让观众觉得混乱，很多简单的转场效果极佳。

真是以小见大的好作品！用纽芬兰小岛上的温情和爱来对抗人类历史上最具毁灭性的恶性事件，非常令人感动！对迫降事件后，社区各个层面的反应刻画得也非常还原。考拉唱得真好！
