The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The whole world is watching. 极具煽动性的民主党竞选利器。但是有意思的是，隐藏在后面代表了美国民众的陪审团，最终还是判了他们有罪。我甚至怀疑这个法官是忠装反了。
早已经猜到这样一部政治意味很强的电影会在奥斯卡取得青睐并在豆瓣获得高分了。一场反政府的游行集会被往往都会被美其名曰「民权」。美国普通民众，包括很多豆瓣自恃清高之人总是这样，只要是面对民众对抗政府，搞热血、示威、所谓对抗强权的这些东西，就必定高潮。电影中有句毒到不能再毒的鸡汤了：「思想从不应该被审判」。你的思想停留在你的脑子里，没人会审判你，但是把你的思想作为煽动民众暴乱的工具去非法对抗政府，影响政府的日常工作，那么就足以也活该被审判。诚然导演的意图是好的，想用这部电影和去年那件事情联系起来来证实政府的不公。但去年那件事情是美警之罪，而这件事情现在来看，我依然认为美国政府没有做错什么。三星全部给导演和演员，单论政治导向一星不值。

并不存在完美的制度，还需要人心和思想来将它维持在一个可持续的状态，而凝结于全体社会中的心性与观念就是传统习俗和价值取向。当然，当一个制度光从逻辑推理上看就存在很多的漏洞，就别指望更高层次的那些了。WYT
没有修正，就不会改变。
真正艰难的不在于与谁抗争，而是坦然呈现自己。交叉剪辑叙事，人物也不少，略凌乱。即便大家都知道在推的圆石会滑落，至少别让它变得太大太重，否则推不动会被压死。

文本出色，法庭戲劇感重。當有爭執、連珠發砲時，整部電影充滿節奏感；但有些文戲雖然寫得好，剪接的節奏卻跟不上——這問題在片頭，出片名前後兩個sequence最明顯。
就是那种典型的无感但是又不得不四星的电影。看的过程中，一直在惦记还没有看完的那几个姐弟恋的剧。是很索金啦！表白萨莎拜伦科恩！最后the whole world is watching~！
