The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 😭虽然还是很感动，主要是太喜欢月红还有王权富贵和清瞳他们两对了，情怀感动，但是制作太拉胯了，还改动了很多画质什么的完全赶不上动漫做的，优点是把故事终于交代清楚了。
红红这个时候，其实应该是穿红衣的。
牛，一直被紧张的氛围围绕，若有若无的背景音乐，客人人物形象两三句对白就立住了，一镜到底却丝毫不乱，非常有意思的一部电影
说实话，我觉得新团队做的还不错，不要看到有区别就直接黑，仔细看下去会发现还是很棒的
8.0，看了20分钟左右才感觉到是不是要一镜到底了，果然，后边60分钟就是看哪里有间隔的黑镜头之类的伪一镜到底的桥段，很过瘾，看的，尤其是把几个主要角色都照顾到了，特别喜欢二厨女士的表演，很真实。值得推荐的好片！

星星给剧情，让我搞懂了我最爱的cp来龙去脉，但画风感觉好奇怪，说不出哪里奇怪，但就是不对劲
@solo：善良的阿姨看到调甜点的小哥，手臂上露出 3 道手割的刀痕，首先给小哥一个温暖的拥抱，然后告诉他跟着自己深呼吸。接着说现在人太多，不适合谈这事。先把工作做完。小哥做完之后，阿姨给了极大的赞美。
哎，情人节看的，大失所望，东方月初的胸肌太让人出戏了，还有这个画风，还有这个情节。后面有些台词有尬到我
说实话画风确实是怪怪的 让我怀疑是不是零几年的电影……
知道是番外，知道换团队了，但是故事还是讲崩了，很难想象看完月红的故事竟然没有一点感动
觉得整个过程像是煮开水般逐渐升温，不只是男主自己在面临失控局面，是片中每个人都焦躁不安，被客人嫌恶的女服务员等……
TV版的逻辑可比这个严谨多了。剧场版拍的什么狗屎玩意。
【B+】出乎预料的好片。一镜到底本身就足够考验场面调度力和演员功底，再加上演员出色的演出让观感变得非常棒，完全是沉浸式体验。不过剧本上很多冲突点的编排其实可以更大胆一些，还有一直期待的第7桌的矛盾并没有铺开来讲有点可惜。

狐妖不愧是音乐番，一个特别篇能整两首歌，还都好听！尤其是那种女生唱的叫轮转的，活活把我听哭了！
