改编自巴尔扎克的半自传同名小说，《人间喜剧》里比较有价值的作品之一，只节选了青年诗人Lucien的部分，最让人惊讶的是这个描写在十九世纪法国巴黎党派倾轧、文坛腐败的恶劣风气下人性迷失理想破灭的故事，到今天仍然具有普世意义，“文学滋养幻想”，浮华资本又使其最终幻灭。电影本身旁白过多破坏了一些文学性，主角的颜值都很高，好久不见泽维尔·多兰演戏了。
三星半吧，开头穷小子和贵族妇人的情史仿佛在看伍迪艾伦，就有种“好了好了我们都知道了你可以move on去搞事业吗”的不耐烦，到了巴黎加入报社后群魔乱舞借的众生群像笑得我拍大腿，这不就是今天某乎某博上带V的节奏大师+红包影评人吗，哪怕是涉水而来的耶稣，到了杠精嘴里也是轻飘飘的一句“你看他都不会游泳”，眼看着他高楼起眼看着他楼塌了。对于巴尔扎克浩瀚如海的原著，电影做减法做得太狠，关键部分却只能靠连篇累牍的原文朗读交代信息，仿佛在电影院看有声书，疲惫不堪。有佳句无佳章吧，导演尽力了，下次不要改编名著了。
2022年4月20日观看。没读过原著，但这片子拍的还不错。
這拍得也太依賴畫外音了。男主演老是歪著嘴笑看著不太聰明。

这让我突然又想起了《燃烧女子的肖像》来，二者都用到了维瓦尔第的四季小提琴协奏曲，区别在于烧女图是将全片的情绪积压在最后来以配乐的方式而爆发出来，但幻灭又不那么强烈，他更多的是以小提琴协奏曲的激烈情绪表达主角处境的剧烈震动，再然后带给观众较为饱满的情绪表达。两者用法完全不同，但这并不影响他们各自在配乐上的优秀。
敏感自傲的年轻诗人，经历了情爱经历了世俗，靠才气成功又因为阶级失败，幻灭就在短短一瞬。
