The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 这不是传记电影，咱就说从竞标到设计再到建塔一共没十分钟，绝大多数时间搞瞎扒，说好的纪念亡妻建一座离天堂最近的塔，怎么就成了野史了？
看完了满心只觉得就这？？这么大宏伟的标志性建筑，结果背后的故事就是这些吗？连个纪录片的边都搭不上。明明可以说的更好但是感觉就像一部狗血爱情剧。女主是性爱自修室的女主，很明显她不太适合这个装扮。不过身材是真的顶啊
演员是好演员，剧本是好剧本，确实有想法的那种，但架不住队友过于青铜了，最后显得几个角色跟tn葫芦娃救爷爷似的一个接一个往里扑，tui！爷这就去买站票连夜扛着火车跑路！tui！
很平淡的一部爱情电影，只是借着建埃菲尔铁塔的名义而已
凌晨一个人关灯在房间看的，所以有几个地方还是被吓到了，但是看完了之后就还好，没给我留下什么深刻的印象

看着女主总想到安妮海瑟薇。女主最后离开是合理的，不算狗血。
纯靠声音营造恐怖气氛，怎么还带穿越和空间交错的
正兒八經的鬼片，有點昆池岩的意思，但是有點鬆散趕腳～結構不緊湊～但也算可以消磨打發時間～
有点类似于《墓地邂逅》。叙事拉跨逻辑不清，但比《昆池岩》强得多。
太黑了，最近看的怪奇宅还可以，一个个故事，有点串联，还算传统。。。我也想到了两个月亮，年代久远。。。有人和昆池岩比，昆池岩吓人吗，直播形式看的更乱，也不吓人。。。这部还可以。。
我还是非常疑惑，埃菲尔铁塔我听说的版本是埃菲尔为了悼念亡妻建的，为什么变成禁忌婚外情了，开头还写了根据真实故事改编，差点就信了，毕竟法国人拍的，还以为万一他们知道的才是真实版本，看来是我想多了。对剧情狠狠无语，但却被刚建成的红色铁塔感动到，这个冰冷的钢铁架子充满了建筑师的热情和信念，才是真正的浪漫吧。
对于一座象征着国家符号的标志性铁塔而言，这个爱情故事的电影化讲述得是不是简单了点？总有点波澜不惊，意兴阑珊的感觉
模仿一波昆池岩 但是恐怖效果没昆一半好 剧情给了时空交错 逻辑线又没理清楚 失望
全片就没几个有光的时候，还整一些鬼的脸来闪我的眼睛，导演讲故事功力真的还不够行，具体时空在哪都没怎么介绍清楚，搞半天我才搞明白男主活着来到大楼，穿越到过去还死了。 总的来说气氛营造的还行，大学生那段还是比较惊险的，但是可以有几个有光的场景，实在是太黑辣
其实时空错乱这本身就是一件恐怖的事情，又何况在鬼门之中呐。
对建塔过程很有兴趣 对其中的爱情线并不喜欢 更何况是瞎编的情感…
没有利用好作者和编辑讲故事这层叙事结构，换言之没给观众留下虚实难辨的观感，只是停留在捋清故事的层次，这个卡司执行得这么普通还真是可惜。
韩国恐怖片质量一年不如一年，法术穿越，输出靠吼，鬼格分裂，致敬闪灵，一惊一乍，故弄玄虚。法术版昆池岩，全靠金康宇演技硬撑了90分钟。
30分钟后全程高能，虽然阅恐无数，吓人手法教老套，并没有惊吓到我，但气氛烘托到位。现在恐怖片拍成这样已经非常不错了。本来想给3星，一看评分才5.5？那必须5颗星。
