The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 经费都花在动作设计上，下次在配音也多花点钱吧。
剧集中一笔带过的反派罗通成为了剧场版的主角，讲述其年轻时因帮派斗争遭人陷害反抗阴谋的故事。行云流水的打戏是亮点与优势，尤其是最后一斩时绽放于黑白中的血花惊艳万分。剧场版有着与剧集相同的立场审视，所谓江湖无对错，只有成败。何方知和罗通均为父报仇，后者加上洗清罪名。当真相和盘托出，众人报清官之恩，西门仁言一方百姓，杀贪官灭帮派求的是太平，然于乱世中仅为奢望。管他苍天与百姓，了却恩怨敢爱敢恨，不枉来这尘世行一遭。枕刀歌这样的精品，或许应了那句“武侠的出路在动画”。
打戏设计一流，场场精彩，目不暇接。人物有血有肉，反派有理想却走偏，联系第一季剧情更令人感慨。江渊小可爱就直接浪死了？！原来片尾曲之后还有一点，江渊没死。
讲的是非典时期的故事，一家四口演员都完美塑造。书店的背景音乐是《说爱你》，网吧的背景音乐是《安静》和《爷爷泡的茶》。用心了

动作戏行云流水，剧情简单但对白很有深意，是很棒的作品。
最喜欢的一段是方仪一个人去了马场（台湾这么安全吗。。半夜女孩可以一个人出门，好羡慕这样的社会环境），欺骗着自己，一遍遍叫着那匹白马splash，然后抵着马头哭了，镜头给了马的眼睛特写，充满悲悯与慈悲。

这么有武侠风的动漫大电影对我来说真的是一种享受啊，武侠迷一本满足！

如果90年代的香港电影有一种所谓的“九七情结”的话，那这部《美国女孩》也体现了湾湾某种类似的“回归情结”，身处两种文化缝隙中的撕裂，身份认同焦虑
没想到一部动画竟然重现了江湖武侠风味，快意恩仇的故事、流畅至极的打斗、应景的古风配乐，太绝太带感了
7/10 打戏其实也就网大水平，分镜思路也是真人影视的思路，动画片好看的动作都应该是长镜头，真人片才会切这么碎
人物画风似乎比tv版更生硬了一些，但是这种国产动漫太需要鼓励了。
无论动作配音还是剧情都深得传统武侠之精髓。
