The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 72/100 #Locarno2021# 人如蝼蚁、蛆虫，我们能看到阶级表达和大与小的对比，也能辨认出核战隐喻，新生婴儿穿行于后末日废土之中。在片中望远镜里看到的是历史还是未来？时间往哪个方向行走？或许还看到林奇、库布里克、芒蒂格...？在最后二十分钟色彩似乎才稍微有趣了起来。确切能看到的是工作量，因此常常在展示这些工作量，对空间的展示重于对观众真正地引导，似乎其中也并不真的有什么人物。当然，如果是B级恐怖片的逻辑，也许也不算大问题，问题是新鲜感还是不足够。

定格动画的布景能做到这种程度令人惊叹。前30min还像是线性的故事，随后就真得就是一个无比诡谲多变的梦魇，试图从中去理解具体的意义本身就反意义，如同做梦一样，感觉大于内容本身。

上一次看木偶剧还是《阿凡提》……融合了末世、血腥、哲学的怪诞cult片，匠心独具。
技术只是表现形式，如果只有十分钟那就是神作；整个90分钟，又没有故事支撑，看到后面实在是疲劳了。
黑石碑、文明、毁灭、80～90年代B级恐怖片的复古质感，我看不懂，但我大受震撼。
