The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 还挺喜欢处理冲突记忆的镜头，把声音抹去，覆盖上当下的平静的叙述声音，再把镜头慢慢拉近拉远，像极了我自己跟回忆和解的方式。

或许是出于某种奇怪的刻板印象，叔侄关系的一对人物被搬上银幕，总让我觉得导演有颗拍公路片的心。说到本片，主题其实仍然是类似的，无非就是身陷囹圄的成年人被少不更事的孩子治愈（严重一点就是救赎）的故事，全片采用黑白色调就显得非常没有必要，完全起不到氛围严肃的作用，为何不干脆随大流使用干净明亮的色彩呢？不明白导演的用意何在。
故作姿态，在大人世界的强势引导下建构出虚拟的孩童视角。

1/7/2022 it’s nice. 大人长大后再和孩子相处的时候似乎忘记了自己曾经也是孩子 大人长大后似乎也忘记了自己小时候的事情 可能是时间太长了吧 人在长大的时候到底经历了什么 每个人都有不同的经历但是每个长大了的人似乎都有着同样的问题
是那种没有剧情的聊天电影。开始还觉得有些无聊，越看越喜欢，看到最后又哭又笑。这世界让人困惑，你不好也没关系。
