The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 切入点非常的精妙，同时并行了爱情友情热情，并讲述了一个我们自以为了解的音乐人背后的故事。林大大对音乐剧的热爱通过屏幕都能感受得到，演员们的投入让你甚至感受不到一丝的违和。这是透过大屏幕最棒的诠释
最大问题是没有拍出这个人物的特殊性和独特魅力，反而拍的更像一个纯虚构的励志故事，这是最大的遗憾。
作为处女作无可指摘，太厉害了！就是今年的爱乐之城，叙事节奏出色，每首歌的创作灵感正是乔纳森自己的生活点滴，从传记电影到自传音乐剧再到他的生活，环环相嵌，有感动有遗憾，不落俗的励志片，音乐、转场设计、镜头想象力都好，加菲的表演也很棒
诺大可发挥空间最后却靠LGBT故事来燃情。
最后有点感人，加菲老了但露出脆弱一面的时候还是像小朋友
此届梗王？加菲&艾玛，LMM+音乐剧&迪士尼+魔法满屋，言归正传，这片其实反高潮，歌舞多处在难熬的情绪片段，而非演绎情节的高光
Movie of the year. A blessing for any theatre/musical lover or idealist. Story about 90s, Broadway, New York, creativity, love, fear, time, and life. Don’t mind Lin’s rusty directing, the emotions are so raw. R.I.P. Stephen Sondheim, who passed away just after the release of this film. We all have, and will always have a song unsung.

不知道是不是我预期太高了，外加不了解原型人物&原作的原因，我没怎么看明白。
其实我先看了倒数时刻的音乐剧，然后完全没看进去…这个改编已经很强了，Sunday那首歌全是彩蛋。顺便赞同那句人人都爱Sondeheim（跑偏了。我最最最感动的应该是最后那段电话留言，真的是Sondheim自己录好了发给LMM的，哭了

生活是音乐的不朽缪斯，音乐是生活的治愈良药，把生活唱进歌里，证明我们鲜明地活着。
一个烂俗的故事线配上了不伦不类的迪士尼音乐和尬舞：（

克劳利的一家人都老了，我总被这种浓郁的消逝感所打动，Violet走了，我在影院爆哭，她最后说，我想起那些从前，我刚穿上衬裙的少女时代，总会觉得那是另一个星球的故事。她说，活得够久了。
感觉演员们都老了，旧的人离去，新生命降临，有声电影必然淘汰掉默片，新时代的来临，每个人都找到了幸福的归属
宽街剧粉必看。突然理解为什么戏剧界那么多写自己生活的剧作了，因为正如经纪人大姐所说，作为独立创作者，确实只有写自己的生活才最容易动人。
「音樂劇」部分密集但印象深的音樂卻不多；「電影」部分的劇情和拍法都乏善可陳，ending的友情線高潮顯然比整部戲的愛情戲要可觀得多。整部戲主要靠剪輯上舞台與戲劇的對切塑造節奏，相信做成舞台劇其實會更有感染力。
