The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 不及预想出彩，瑞安仍旧定型。爱情是在错误的地点与正确的人重逢，亲情是以逝去的微光照亮漫长的未来。陪伴是能敞开坚强的怀抱、也能袒露脆弱的缺口，勇敢是能接纳未知的结局、更紧拥有限的相遇。难熬的是深夜的酒，能够慰藉的仍是清晨的粥；神圣是当我仰望星空，幸福却是与你俯瞰大地。
作为一个不了解字母哥的人来说，还是觉得非常热血沸腾的，不过不明白为什么会为一个现役球员拍纪录片?毕竟他还没有乔丹科比那么伟大？

我最爱的球星 都是一些早就耳熟能详的故事 但在一幕幕情节里让扬尼斯一家人的经历渐渐立体化
虽然知道最后的结果，不过扬尼斯被选中的那一瞬间，还是很激动的
时间旅行本身是个悖论也不需要太较真，但是这么混乱随意的也是很稀有，一点想要圆一下的意思都没有，破罐子破摔，反正我是小贱贱，反正有复联撑我。

字母哥个人传记电影，兄弟俩共用球鞋、面临遣返的危险，但是父母不轻言放弃、轻易沉沦，孩子也确实有天赋够努力争气。影片算不上精彩但足够励志。最后一段真实影像是最精彩动人的地方，字母哥说好的父母能看到孩子的未来，说的真好啊。3.5吧
从不关注NBA，看了其他人的评论才知道是有这么号人物，一家三个都在NBA打球。电影的话，拍的很好看，典型的励志片。不要怕失败，终点到来之前一切都是未知的。
