A quick glimpse at the cast for this film would make any horror fan giddy with glee. The actual movie doesn't live up to those high expectations, but it's far from being all bad. Desi Arnaz Jr. (!) plays an author who makes a crazy $20,000 bet with his publisher that he could write a great novel in only 24 hours. To do so, the publisher gives him the keys to an old abandoned house where he won't be disturbed. Not true. Once he gets there he is interrupted by a multitude of guests including a family which consists of John Carradine, Sheila Keith, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price. They are gathered there in a twisted family reunion to release their brother from the room he's been imprisoned in for forty years. Even Christopher Lee drops by as Corrigan, the man who has just purchased the house. Soon, they realize that the caged brother is loose and out for revenge.
What a great plotline and what a dream cast! This movie should have been a hell of a lot better. It's hard to pinpoint the exact problems with the film, but I would venture to say that the lack of lighting was a major fault. Sure the house has no electricity but I think they took the title of the movie a little too literally. Scenes after scenes are barely visible and the actors' faces are undecipherable. Only the moments in the main dinning hall are well lit. Also, the great actors are given very little to do. Cushing gets a few chuckles as the scared brother but Price, Lee and especially Carradine are somewhat wasted here. Well, at least Price gets the best line of the film: `Please don't interrupt me while I am soliloquizing.' And on the plus side, the story has enough twists and turns throughout to keep one`s interest and the ending, while a bit of a cop-out, manages to surprise.
“你是否蔑视你的政府？”“与我的政府对我的藐视相比我的藐视不值一提。”美国的60年代是一个黑暗却充满希望的年代，虽然黑暗，但人们充满了追求光明的力气和反抗黑暗的激情—60年代是理想主义风起云涌的年代。《芝加哥七君子的审判》带我们再次回到60年代，也许只是想让我们重拾那个年代以鲜血为代价留给我们的遗产：永远抵抗权力机器对个体的碾压，永远反对体制对思想的审判。权力的侵蚀无处不在，所以个人的权利是每个人寸土必争、绝不退让的东西。
如果喜欢《社交网络》，那么这部片子肯定对你的胃口。
PS：昨天看“八佰”，今天看这个，我突然觉得中国为什么要宣传反战，中国近现代根本没有对外发起过战争
……索金这几年，输出比输出形式变得重要了。人物塑造硬得不行，薄如纸。

叙事技巧高超，但内容还是脸谱化的政治正确。
翻译为“芝加哥七人审判”更妥帖。这七人并非君子，有人抽大麻，有人滥交，有人为了减刑动小脑筋，还互相内讧。庭审的结果必是有罪或无罪，而审判的过程即便是政治阴谋，是否也能因为它的某种独立性、部分公开性和一些人的勇气而为国运纠偏？五十年后到的今天，科技已渗透到每一个毛孔的当下，被告的一方是否依然有这种纠偏的可能？
又一部借他人酒杯浇我们心中块垒的电影，但是看多了韩国同类影片，感觉还不如韩影能煽到我，另法官被塑造得太脸谱化了，像一群闹事的学生在挑战班主任。
七君子因一个共同目标而走到一起，在特殊的历史时期罗列一个个事件就足够吸引人，看的热血。第一编剧索金拍出来近年最好看的法庭群相戏。萨莎·拜伦·科恩贡献了生涯最佳演出，是不是喜剧演员在正剧中都这么牛，他在法庭的表现其实远超小雀斑，结尾的设计那音乐一响起这不《春风化雨》吗，太主旋律了。
犀利的文本无法掩盖镜头语言的贫乏，导致说教变得刻意而令人难受
同时观《One Second》，为何不能让人们知道，我们也是一步一步艰难地走到现在。每一次思想的审判和前进的背后，都写满了人生的哀伤与无奈。而这些牺牲与进步，也符合事物发展的基本规律。不能给孩子们灌输一种价值观，让他们误以为我们美好的今天是躺着被恩赐的。
艾伦索金式爽片是真的爽，爽到想再刷一遍news room。曾经的故事还在世界的大地上发生着，但好像这样的“反抗”越来越少。
1.这storytelling，太厉害了。2.有些司法可以playing dirty，有些司法没有player。3.whole world watching
太工整了，一百二十分作文，少见的极左但不至于太讨厌的作品。political trial，唯一用生命抗争的，是名字和数量没有出现在事件中的黑人。
一种非常当下的东西，剧作极佳，导演工作平庸
其实这部在柯南系列里面算是超高质量了，案件合理，而且注重感情线，相信不少人看柯南也都是追这条线吧，看到自己想看到的剧情，真是激动，五星高分，这部剧值得拥有。
太压抑了！充分论证了司法独立的重要性。欲加之罪，何患无辞，哪来什么民主审判，都是政治操纵，经济如此，司法也是如此，太悲哀了。虽然是历史，但又何尝不是现实呢？索金的剧本一如既往地稳，最后十分钟让人热血沸腾，精彩绝伦，荡气回肠！
4.5。非常適合艾倫·索金的題材，從文本到結構，甚至導演技法，都隱忍卻風格顯著。只是結尾的渲染略有點強硬的感覺，不知道是不是純粹我觀感出現的問題。
