剧本弱，片中最有男子气概的角色竟然是一只鸡！
全年龄级温情西部片，希望老牛仔身体健康，拍到100岁。
好简单安逸又温柔的东木，最喜欢墨西哥小镇那段时光。
耄耋之年的东木用他最惯常的西部情调拍摄这只属于他的美式牛仔精神，自信又稳健，褪去以往作品中险象环生的角色命数，看淡万事万物的起起伏伏，收起他个人英雄主义的锋芒，知天命，尽人事，返璞归真地讲述一个不算太有惊险感的故事，老爷子将它拍得既温暖又谦逊，无意去赘述年轻时浪迹天涯的传奇经历，角色间的交流充满其善意的包容，靠的只是他对爱和恨、功与名的经验之谈。雄鸡取名为macho则是对他职业生涯最恰当的概括，戎马一生到了垂暮之年也不得不被现实驯服，男子气概再热血也不是拿来肆意炫耀的资本，透过他无尽沧桑的细眼也能看到的强大个人魅力，老而不钝，老当益壮。

一部温情的西部片，故事简单温和，伍德老爷子一把年纪还这么高产，劳模啊！和小朋友成了忘年交，一路很欢快。

感觉老头子有点为了在有生之年多拍点片而不得不有片就拍。
冬木老爷子看透了一切。
期待什么？老爷车的牺牲？哀歌的碗？
东木老爷就保持这个节奏！拍到一百多岁我就随时保持跟进！
片子非常一般，但是东木主演的电影已经形成一个特定人物和他的故事，我愿意像追连续剧一样一直看下去。
