The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 结尾把格局降低了，其实可以更加深刻，女性的生存环境、社会压力，深有感触。

早上出了源，中午看了中文版本，看了还不错！推荐！
本来冲着申河均去看的，主题和呈现方式的新颖与敏感算是意外的惊喜，某种程度上来说还是需要相信申河均对电影作品选择的能力，他应该是在自己所能选择范围内选了最好的东西去演绎了。

还是蛮套路的三星吧，但我喜欢李沐演少女可爱的加一星，男主不怎么帅但是我也不咋介意哈哈哈，比较触动的点一个是张听到舍友说喜欢自己脱口而出可是我没有喜欢你以后跑过去抱住室友，暖到，另一个是最后男女主感谢自己吧，是没想到还有吻戏啊。ps女主反射弧有点长了吧，这么久都没发现男主喜欢自己

台湾青春片的那股子劲还在，但给人感觉太生硬，归整，一点不行云流水，自然流露。用那谁的话来说就是匠气十足！选角呢，不一定要帅到爆，但一定要有个性。男主就没什么特色，记不住，人物单薄得立不起来；女主倒是个性，好吃和自我妄想，请问，这算哪 门子的个性？
这电影真的无聊到了一定的无聊，这么有意思的opening没想到怎么成了家庭戏。
并不新鲜的设定和悬疑，却因为展现探讨了生育焦虑、母职惩罚、女性职场焦虑等话题而让人，尤其是女性观众有了别样感受。生育对女性来说真是无比沉重的幸福啊。。。
终章动画确实拉，不吸引人，看的中途好几次玩起了手机。
喜欢里面的一些配乐，很带感。但剧情从开始有点意思到老套无趣，简直是失望透顶。
