The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 本作通过极致的镜头美学对英国古典文学的视觉化呈现，让我时时想起侯孝贤的刺客聂隐娘，美是一样的美，底本也是一样的厚重但又颇有趣味，当然，闷也是一样的闷

Visually extremely pleasing, but content wise not so convincing. Dev Patel is hot though.
啥呀。。。神话传说还是恐怖故事？啥也不是。。。
布景和打光挺有意思，有那种古老传说的感觉，三星。
黑乎糊、灰寂际、蓝谧密、黄昏浑、红赤耻、绿幽游。最近看了好几部好莱坞，这是要被印度裔演员占领了吗？高文爵士作为凯尔特人原来是和印度裔同种。
看到后面还是越看越迷人的，有魔幻史诗的质感，就是还可以再荒诞一点。
如果对中世纪文学意象和传说背景不熟悉，理解这部电影确实很有难度。整个电影像一部瑰丽奇幻的骑士版爱丽丝梦游仙境，狐狸、无头少女、巨人、城堡，都是骑士传奇故事中常见的自省象征，我倾向于把高文的这段旅途理解为彼得潘的成败交杂的成人之路，最后戛然而止的黑屏可以说是点睛之笔。一切浩大终究归于一瞬的醒悟，独立、责任，这些大人的东西，回顾起来，往往都是瞬间觉醒的。
画面镜头满分，剧情的话可能是改编自小说，影视化处理的过于意识流了。
