The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 调度太棒了，转换的简单、自然、流畅和明确。
从头到尾情绪都冲到了头顶，眼泪汪汪，最后字幕出对比照片的时候眼泪哗哗流，居然还有猩猩的照片，破防了。一人分饰多角、场景转换也井井有条毫不费力。完成了我看音乐剧有字幕的美梦。

2/26 @ Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. 最近新闻看的焦虑, 这一场及时给我打了一针强心剂. I am an islander, so should everybody.
编排太牛，节奏太紧密，简直有点目不暇接了。
上次看CFA还是疫情前，彼时世界仍是一体，地球仍似甘德镇。在充满猜疑与撕裂的当下，人类守望相助、携手共进的故事更显珍贵
太感动了。就靠几把椅子让观众面前出现了那么多不同的画面。
It does hit me！！！
层次非常丰富的百老汇舞台剧，大到人道主义，小到个人友情、爱情；从种族问题讲到女性、LGBT群体的社会接纳；有生离死别，也有相遇重逢。正如剧中所唱，一些东西失去了，另一些被建立起来了。整部剧的基调是自由主义式的，或许这才是正确对抗恐怖主义的途径。用融合代替隔离，用积极代替阴郁，用好好生活代替暴力反应。（观影时间：2021年10月6日；自评：8.3；推荐指数：★★★★★）

看的是官摄所以标个电影吧～很感动…机长之歌很振奋；“tonight we honour what we lost but we also commemorate what we found”。
看完直想拍手叫好，几近完美，很可能是我今年看过最好的电影/舞台剧/音乐剧了，百老汇果然名不虚传！
它在有限的演员身上安放两三个角色，配合简单的道具，从而塑造不同的群像，搭建出丰富的场景，但又并不让观众觉得混乱，很多简单的转场效果极佳。
真切感受到百老汇和国产音乐剧之间的差距...
